|
Woodworking club is open for all students, grades 6 through 8. This club is designed for the beginner as well as the more experienced woodworker. Basic woodworking techniques, tool selection, tool utilization, fastening procedures, and finishing processes will be taught, with a strong emphasis on safety. Students are are encouraged to design and build their own projects, however pre-drawn plans are available for simple projects. Students can use this time to do personnel projects or to work on school related projects. There is no additional fee for this club unless a project requires hardware, or similar items, that are not normally stocked. (See the note on EEE Activities in red above) |
Space is limited to 12 students each week, therefore a sign-up sheet will be placed on the door of room 113 every Wednesday morning. Students wishing to participate, should sign up that day and then be present after school. (Students do not have to come every week) The club will run for most of the school year ending in late May or early June. |
