Deep Sea Fishing Trip

What a difference a year can make!  If it weren't for the beautiful weather, great company, a nd good food, last year's trip would have been a total bust.  This year was definitely not a bust.  Both Bobby and Roscoe hooked up early landing 2 nice striped bass, 24" and 23" respectively.  They continued to catch bass throughout the morning.  At around lunch-time we decided to head our for deeper water and try to tangle with some sharks. We got what we wished for.  We didn't have our lines in the water 10 minutes when Bobby's fishing rod started to bounce.  The fight was on.  A few minutes later we boated a 38" sand shark.  Shortly after we released Bobby's fish, Roscoe's line started peeling out.  Sure enough, another 36"+ shark.  We decided to take a break and ate lunch while admiring the scenery.  After Roscoe recycled his sandwich :) we made the decision to go back into the river and tackle some more stripers.  We did just that.  We boated a few more fish and missed even more.  By that time the guys were getting tired of fighting fish and rolling waves so we headed for the docks.  Unfortunately none of the Stripers we caught were large enough to keep (26"+).  All fish were released unharmed but not before we snapped a few pictures to remember the moments.  All in all it was a great day on the water!  I'm already looking forward to next year.
